These magnetic building tiles have been a hit in my household for MANY years. These pictures are from about 6 years ago and they still play with them to this day at the ages of 8 and 11. They are great for imaginative play and are durable to withstand being played with over and over again. If you haven’t tried these yet, I HIGHLY recommend them. I used to have these in my classroom, and they were a toy that came out EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The possibilities are endless!

Our Top 5 Games We Love to Play

Blokus: A strategy game based on one rule, you can only lay your pieces down with just the corners touching. Be the first to put all your pieces on the board and you win!

the Uzzle: I mentioned this game earlier but we love it so much I decided to bring it up again. There are 3 different ways to play and all of them exercise your brain. Give it a try today!

Mancala: This is a game my husband and I enjoyed playing before we had kids. Then I discovered that they have a 4 player board so now we can play as a family. This is another game all about strategy and it is great for kids and adults.

Magnetic: I kept seeing ads for this game and decided to give it a try. My kids pull this one out all the time because it is fun and quick. Be the first person to lay of all your stones inside the yellow string and you win! The challenge is laying your magnetic stones down without getting other stones attached to it, if that happens then you have to take those stones back.

Spank the Pig: This is my daughter’s favorite game. What kid wouldn’t love shouting out, “Spank the Pig”? The objective is simple, if you see a pig be the first one to spank it. However, the challenge is that a lot of the other animals are made to look similar to the pigs. Give this fast paced card game a try and enjoy lots of laughs with your kids.

Mini Cones for the Win!

These mini cones were a last minute gift I decided to purchase for my son’s birthday. My initial thought was he could make a course for his remote control vehicles but yesterday an idea popped into my head so I put it into action. When I was a kid I used to make a bike course on our street using chalk and I absolutely loved riding my bike on it with my friends. Now, we have way more dirt than concrete so a chalk course wasn’t an option, so I decided to make one using these mini cones. Although the cones are pretty tiny, only 3.1 inches tall, they worked perfect. The only advice I have is to not do this on a windy day. How would you use these cones?

No More Mess Water Balloon Fights

My kiddos love water balloon fights and we’ve had plenty but they HATE having to clean up the balloons afterwards. I discovered these reusable water balloons a couple years ago and they are a game changer! They are easy to fill, don’t hurt, and clean up is a breeze. You simply drop the open water balloon into the water and it will fill and close up all on it’s own. I haven’t had any break yet and they have been used often. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Rewinding Time: Watching Old Movies with Your Kids

One of the many benefits of having kids is being able to share your favorite childhood movies with your kids. I have absolutely loved watching the reactions of my kids when they watch one of my favorite movies from the past and hear that they enjoyed it as well.

What were some of your favorite movies from your childhood? What movies have you shared with your own kids?

Here are a few of mine:

These costumes aren’t just for Halloween!

My munchkins have worn them for Easter, Christmas, and on random days throughout the year. They create lots of laughter and my kids absolutely love chasing each other around!
